You’ll hear people
connected with AFC Notts County say this often – but what does it actually
mean?
For those of you who don’t know, AFC Notts County is 100% owned by The
Notts County Trust. The Trust was set up in January 2003 and is an Industrial
and Provident Society – effectively a co-op. This means that no member
can hold more than one share and that any surpluses earned can only
be used to further the Trust’s objectives and cannot be distributed
as profits.
The Board of The
Notts County Trust sets the long-term strategy of the club and appoints
the Board of the club as well. In this way, every member of The Notts
County Trust has a voice in how the club is run.
So if you want to have your say in your club, make sure you join The
Notts County trust.
